More Illinois Citizens On Food/Cash Assistance As Unemployment Remains Constant!

As reported 5/16/13:

"The number of people receiving food stamps through the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) has reached 47.6 million — nearly one in seven Americans.

SNAP is one of the federal government’s largest welfare programs — Illinois was the only state to see a double-digit, year-over-year jump in use.

Total enrollment now exceeds 2 million — nearly one in six Illinoisans."
